How it all works…
Phase 1
Once you’ve decided that I’m the celebrant for you, I’ll send through a bunch of resources to look through and ponder on. Around 6 months before the big day we will schedule a planning meeting (in-person or video call) and thrash out all the details. This is where you will enlighten me with your vision/ideas and we can discuss how to bring them to life. As well as the practicalities and logistics (choreography, running order etc) of the day, I will get to know you individually, and as a couple, as well as delving into your love story (my favourite part!) This will be the ceremony’s heart-centre, around which everything else grows, but of course, only reveal what you’re comfortable with. I’m a natural over-sharer, but I would never pressure you to be!
Phase 2
On the back of everything we’ve discussed, and everything I’ve learned and picked up on, I’ll the get to work on the first draft. I’ll always get this to you as soon as possible so there’s plenty of time for any revisions and additions. The process is fluid, and I’m not precious when it comes to receiving feedback. This is YOUR day after all and I want you to be delighted and 100% satisfied with the ceremony.
Phase 3
When everything is finalised, all that’s left to do is see you on the day! I always arrive early to make sure everything is set up and ready, as well as liaising with everyone who is playing a key part in the ceremony (venue co-ordinators, musicians people doing readings etc). All you need to do is turn up and soak it all in. After the ceremony I will hand over a ‘keepsake copy’ of the script and leave you to enjoy whatever celebratory activities await!
